Blackjack is a simple game and one of my favorite table games at the casinos. It is a funny game where you actually can participate yourself by bettering your own odds. To start of I will describe the basics of the game and then try to make you understand how to play.
Now you are supposed to get 21 or as close as possible. Usually every table has around 10 possible bets. You put in your bet there is like all other games table minimum and maximum. After all bets have been places the dealer gives everyone a card starting from his left side and then deals to himself a card. Then he will deal a second card to all the players. But there he stops and wait for your move.
Ace is worth either 11 or one depending on what you need in your bet. Kings, queens and Jacks are worth 10. And all the other numbers are worth the same as their value. If you are given a 10, king, queen or jack together with an ace you will have a blackjack. This is the best hand in blackjack, if you get it you will receive 2 to 1 of your bet.
Now to play it is simple you bet and then see what cards you will be dealt. Then you have four choices depending on the cards. The most common two are hit or stand. If you choose to hit you will be dealt another card. If you choose to stand that means you are satisfied with your hand. You can double when you have between 8-11. That means you bet more money, the same amount as your first bet and then you will get only one card. If you have 11 and double and get a 10 that means you have 21 with a doubled bet. Very good odds. The fourth option is split. If you have two cards of the same value you can choose to split them. That means you add the same amount of money as your first bet and you will have to hands. This is usually done when a player receives for example two aces. But when you split two aces you will only be dealt one card on each ace.
Now like all other games you need a basic strategy to be able to beat the dealer. The dealer has to stop at 17 and draw a card at 16. This should give you the basics. Meaning if the dealer gets six in the first round that if he receives a high card like 10, jack, queen or king he has to take another card. So therefore, I usually play without risks when the dealer hits low like 6,5 or 4. But when dealt three or two it is a little bit more difficult. Now when a dealer receives an ace or a card of value of 10 you should risk a little bit more. But the common rule here is to stand at 17. Since the odds of getting the card you wish for is very small.
Remember you win whenever you get closer to 21 than the dealer. If you draw you will get your money back. This is a very basic guide. Hope it will be helping you in the future.
